The Female Mystical Tradition: Devotion or Delusion

Does God communicate in a special way with mystics? How are we to understand the connection that mystics believe they have with God?  Join Dr. Fiona Black on Saturday, February 3rd from 9:30-3:30 at St. Bernard’s Church Hall as she delves into the female mystics which the Church honors.  Dr. Black is an associate professor of Religious Studies at Mount Allison University, and has conducted research in the areas of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament literature, poetics, gender issues and history of interpretation.  A regular presenter for the Office of Faith Development, Dr. Black has looked at women honored in Scripture in previous sessions.  Pre-registration is necessary by Tuesday, January 30^th and may be done by contacting Ellen.
